Spring is in full bloom, and we're excited to bring you some fresh updates this May! Our latest features are designed to brighten your day and make your Birdie experience even better. Dive in to see what exciting updates our team has been working on.
Show remittance on invoices
We’ve made it easier than ever for your payers to pay you by post, by giving you the option to add a remittance slip at the end of your invoices - so that your payers have a clear summary of what they should pay you and so that you can maintain an accurate record of payments received by your agency.
By toggling the Remittance Advice on in Invoice Configuration, you’ll be able to add an extra page at the end of your invoice PDF. For more information on exporting invoices click here.
This new page will be titled Remittance Advice and will include the following information:
- Hub name and address
- Payer name
- Client name(s) or number(s)
- Invoice number, period and issuing date
- Invoice total value
You can also add a note to help your payers complete the payment, such as banking details or information about Direct Debit. This is optional and can be done by filling the relevant field under Remittance Advice in Invoice Configuration
When printed, the remittance will be on an additional full A4 page at the end of the invoice.
This is available for Advanced, Plus, All Inclusive and Premium packages. Please get in touch if interested in accessing this feature!
Improvements to client filter for subscription users
You’ll now be able to see if a client has a visit, subscription or both (identified with handy labels next to their name) when generating an invoice for a particular period within the invoice dashboard.
This will empower finance teams to save time in decision-making during billing cycle.
This improvement is available as part of the Subscriptions feature. Please get in touch if interested in accessing this feature!
Limited beta: View and manage absences with Birdie
We’re introducing a new Absence Management module within Birdie and have launched a small beta programme to ensure that the improvements we’re making are working as expected before it’s ready for you!
As a first step, the beta includes the ability to stay on top of booked absences and holidays through the Birdie app. This means less time spent calling the office to check holidays and more time doing the things that matter!
This is just the beginning, so stay tuned for more updates on this exciting feature!

Limited beta: View a week’s worth of upcoming client visits
We know how important it is to have insight into your clients' upcoming visits.
That’s why we’re improving our existing feature, so carers will be able to view details of the upcoming week’s (7 days) worth of visits, instead of calling the office for more information!
With more visibility into your clients’ rota, you can continue to promote successful handovers and build trust!
This will be available for all packages excluding care management packages and integration partners.
