What's new at Birdie: September 2024

August 28, 2024
Table of contents

As autumn begins, we hope you’ve had a great end to summer and have enjoyed using Birdie this September! Take a look at Birdie's latest improvements to help you transition smoothly into the new season.

Updated invoice email template

We've updated the invoicing email template by removing Birdie branding and improving the email language. This update automatically personalises your invoice signature, giving the invoices a more professional feel and making them appear as though they’re coming directly from your agency.

Your agency name will display on the orange line

This improvement is available to all packages using Finance. Please get in touch if interested in accessing Birdie's finance features!

Limited beta: Basic information form

We’ve kicked off the beta for the basic information form, which is a new client profile creation form that captures only the most essential details about a client such as their Name, DOB, contact information, primary address, etc. This basic information is broken out from the previous ‘About me’ tab, which will now be renamed to ‘Client information’ and continue to store details including Personal identity, Clinical details, Key contacts, and more.

The basic information form helps simplify client onboarding by providing a lighter form for an assessor to complete and creates a better user experience with purpose-built locations.

See basic information tab in Agency Hub

This will be available to all packages that use Birdie's Care Management software.

GP Connect Integration

Birdie is continuing to prepare for the release of GP Connect in the upcoming months! Birdie's GP Connect integration with NHS Digital will provide you with instant access to up-to-date client health records including medical history, medications, allergies, and immunisations. With real-time visibility this important medical information, GP Connect enables you to save on admin time and adapt quickly to changes.

GP Connect will be available to all packages for providers who meet the following criteria:

  • You must be CQC registered
  • Your organisation (and each site) must be registered with the Organisation Data Service
  • You must have achieved “Standards met” for the Data Security and Protection Toolkit
  • You will need to sign the National Data Sharing Agreement for GP Connect once the integration is available on Birdie
  • You will need to provide the names and email addresses of the Registered Manager, plus any clinical and nominated non-clinical staff who would like to have access to GP Connect

Stay tuned for more information on this exciting integration!

Absence management update

Due to other priorities that have taken precedence, the launch of the Absence Management feature has unfortunately been postponed indefinitely until further notice. We understand the value and importance of this functionality and share your anticipation for its future release. Please note, existing beta participants are not impacted by this update.

We greatly appreciate the overall interest in this feature, and will keep you updated as soon as we’re able to revisit its full release.

More to come!

In the meantime, please check out our public roadmap for more information on what we're working on. 👋
