How Love2Care sets the highest standard of Care Quality
About Love2Care
Founded in 2017, Love2Care is a successful adult domiciliary care provider with a dedicated team of 60 supporting around 100 clients across Devon.
The Challenge
From the beginning, the Love2Care team set out to deliver the quality of care the team would want their own family members to receive. So when it came to going digital in 2023, they were apprehensive about losing the paper system they had used so far in case it affected the quality of care they delivered to their clients.
“We are a society of phones and technology, and a lot of people talk about how that’s taken away a really good human connection,” says one of Love2Care’s founders, Maddy Bird. “So we really worried if moving to a digital system would take away from the experience our clients receive.”
The Solution
Following onboarding onto Birdie, this concern was soon put to bed. Although carers spend more time than before the switch looking at their device, the fast access to care plans, overview of changes and ability to better monitor and adapt to their client’s changing needs has actually translated to spending less time on admin or catching up on changes, and more time delivering a high-quality service to the people in their care.
“Rather than detracting from it, switching to digital has enabled us to keep that kind of responsiveness as a service even as we grow,” says Maddy.

The Results
In their most recent inspection, Love2Care earned an ‘outstanding’ rating from the CQC across several areas of Care Quality, as well as surpassing standards across several other common industry assessments.
